Delete your account and your data.
You can delete your Mapping Bills account at any time. The fastest way is right in the app — it takes effect immediately. If you no longer have the app, you can request deletion by email instead.
The short version
- In the app: Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. Immediate and complete.
- Without the app: email us from the address on your account and we delete everything on our side.
- Deletion is permanent — your account, receipts, and backups cannot be recovered afterwards.
Option 1 — Delete in the app (fastest)
- Open Mapping Bills and go to Settings.
- Scroll to the Danger zone section and expand it.
- Tap Delete account, then Delete.
- Confirm it's you (you may be asked for your account password), then tap Delete my account.
In-app deletion happens immediately. It permanently removes your account, your server-side records, the data stored on that device, and your Google Drive backup.
Never signed in? Then you don't have an account with us — everything lives only on your device. Use Settings → Danger zone → Start fresh → Clear data to erase it, or simply uninstall the app.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you've uninstalled the app or can't sign in, send a deletion request from the email address on your Mapping Bills account (we use this to verify the account is yours):
Or write to [email protected] with the subject "Delete my account".
We verify and complete email requests within 30 days — usually much sooner — and reply to confirm when it's done. Data stored only on your device (receipts, photos, settings) is removed when you uninstall the app; if you still have the app installed, Option 1 removes everything at once.
What gets deleted
- Your account record (sign-in identity and email address).
- Server-side records tied to your account, including scan-credit / quota records and subscription linkage records we hold.
- When you delete in the app: all receipts, receipt photos, settings, and custom data on that device, plus your Google Drive backup.
What may be kept
- Records we are legally required to retain (for example, tax or payment records held by Google Play or our payment processors under their own policies).
- Fully anonymized, aggregated statistics that cannot identify you or your account.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account removes our records, but it does not cancel a subscription billed through Google Play. To stop future charges, also cancel in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
